Reclaiming Individual Liberty Through Prayer, Education in the Truth of Our Christian Heritage and Activism

Attention Parents, Campers and Camper Wannabe’s!

The 2015 Camp American Theme is :

Theme To Be Announced

The 2015 Camp American™ is going to be being held at Pokagon State Park in Angola IN June 14-20, 2015

The goal of Camp American™ is to raise a core of knowledgeable, godly leaders for the 21st century. Camp American™ will help students and adults understand…

  • The Christian principles upon which the nation was built
  • The US Constitution, Declaration of Independence and founding documents
  • The founders’ original intent

Camp American™ is a one-week adventure designed to teach students (ages 12 to adult)…

  • The proper role of government
  • Principles of good government
  • History, economics, civics and government from a Christian perspective.

Our team of outstanding instructors will help your child understand how American government is intended to operate, and how to become involved in the policy making process.

Camp American will also help your teen recognize and refute false teachings and morally bankrupt philosophies now so prevalent in American culture. Students will discover the deception of evolution, the importance of purity and morals in a free society, and the pagan connection to the radical environmental movement. Your teen will learn the importance of prayer and action. Most importantly, students will learn that in order to restore America, we must return America to Christ.

Camp American students will learn in a wholesome, beautiful lakeside setting, free from the influence of TV, radio and television. Best of all students will learn invaluable lessons that they will carry with them into adulthood. They will also build friendships and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Oh, yes. We almost forgot to mention that Camp American is also lots of fun! See the “Recreation” page for examples.

Don’t know what to bring or what to wear to camp?

Ed Bomer- RIP

August 24, 2014

Sometimes we find it necessary to report bad news. Camp American is a place we like to associate with both learning and fun- good times for both staff and students.

It is with a great sadness, though that I must report the passing of a man who helped start Camp American and was an indispensable part of it for many years.

Former Camp American Director Edward J. (“Ed”) Bomer went to the Lord on Friday August 22, 2014. He was an irreplaceable part of the Camp American experience as anyone who attended during his tenure can tell you. I can also tell you because I have had the privilege of trying (and failing miserably) to fill his shoes. Ed genuinely liked and respected young people and they returned that love and respect.

I first met Ed Bomer as a teenager attending another camp at which Ed was the director. I knew what Ed could do with younger people because I knew what he had done with me and with my camp friends. That was more than 40 years ago and Ed remained healthy, vigorous and fit until struck down by cancer, which he fought valiantly for several years, losing to the disease in the end but winning ultimately by being invited to meet and dwell with his Savior forever in paradise.

Never was a reward so richly deserved.

We are proud to announce the winner of the 2013 Camp American Camper Of The Year Award. There were a limited number of entrants last year, due to the fact that Camp American had to be canceled due to the nesting of a pair of Bald Eagles just behind the boys cabins.

Since there were so few participants it was decided that we should award the only campers who were permitted to occupy the campground with the Camper Of The Year Award.

So, we present the 2013 Camper Of The Year Award to the Bald Eagle parents and eaglets
